The President was in Seattle on August 21 for a very short, 2 hour stay. I managed to see Air Force on on approach to Boeing Field at noon from the Seattle waterfront, then I hoofed it back I-5 to catch him as his motorcade passed downtown on his way to the McCaw mansion at Hunts Point.

Originally I was on the overpass, but the Washington State Patrol said that it was a Bad Idea for me to be standing there, looking over when the Motorcade passed. So I moved to the side, which in actuality, gave a much better view of the motorcade.

I was amazed at the sheer number of vehicles that tail the President as he moves in his Motorcade: Secret Service vans, ambulances, tow trucks; you name it. Quite a sight to see.
